We stayed with non-biological family in Point May, on the Burin peninsula, for the first 5 days, then spent the last 3 days in St John&#8217;s, checking out places like Signal Hill, the harbour, Quidi Vidi Village, and doing the touristy thing, checking out all the shops on Water Street.<\/p>\n<p>We were lucky to have excellent (and uncommon) sunny\/cloudy weather, didn&#8217;t get much fog, and didn&#8217;t see any moose. This province has the best driving roads I&#8217;ve ever seen, long and winding, with excellently steep drops. If only<br \/>\nthere was one around to take a picture with&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I didn&#8217;t take that many pictures. I treated this trip as a vacation. I didn&#8217;t touch a computer until I got to St John&#8217;s. My phone, though it had service, remained turned off and in my bag. I took the time to enjoy it out there, and I sure did enjoy it. The local take-out places pretty much all specialize in fried chicken, however I did make sure to try sometime different every meal.
